For leaders who long for a greater sense of ease without sacrificing impact
Leadership at the highest levels demands a supportive balance: the strong back of self-reliance and resilience, and the soft front of open-hearted connection. Most leaders have mastered the former, but true success requires leaning into the latter—cultivating interdependence and building relationships that empower everyone around you.
Without this balance, you risk burnout, loneliness, isolation, and a constricted outlook that feeds self-doubt. Nothing gets easier in isolation. The truth is: you’ll be less successful the lonelier you are, and the more you rely solely on yourself.
What today’s ever-shifting work environment needs is leadership that’s open-hearted, genuine, and rooted in healthy relationships. A leadership approach that is strong, yet, flexible enough to meet the complexities of our rapidly shifting world, while staying grounded in connection, authenticity, and shared purpose.
About Gina Restani, CPCC, PCC
I’m an executive coach and facilitator on a mission to revolutionize people’s relationship with work. I’ve coached nearly 100 leaders from over 30 companies from startups to fortune 500 companies including: Amazon, Slack, Microsoft, Google, Salesforce, and more.
My organizational insights are shaped by a decade in the tech industry, including a six-year stint at Twitter, where I navigated the highs and lows of a hyper-growth, high-profile environment. I walked away from tech drained and disillusioned by the false promise of the corporate marathon. And I wasn’t alone.
Leaving my corporate job was the first step toward discovering new ways of working and leading. I realized that to shift corporate culture, we have to prioritize supporting the people within it, helping them find healthier, more sustainable approaches to their work.
This realization led me to co-found Inside Out Incubator, a women’s leadership consultancy aimed at empowering women in male-dominated industries to lead authentically and powerfully on their own terms. Over five years, we worked with more than 5,000 women leaders, helping them craft careers they love and become the kind of leaders they’d look up to.
As a faculty member at the renowned Co-Active Training Institute (CTI), I train aspiring coaches and business leaders to master coaching skills that unlock talent and creativity across organizations. For the past five years, I’ve been teaching at CTI because I believe the core skills we cultivate—active listening, leading with curiosity, and building strong relationships—are essential for fostering an empowered work culture and bridging divides in today’s world.
I identify as a white, cis-gendered, heterosexual, American woman, and my pronouns are she/her. I’m an auntie, artist, feminist, classically trained vocalist and actor with a deep love for 60’s soul music and 90’s hip hop. My journey has taken me to Ohio (for music school) and NYC (to pursue my first career in the performing arts). I currently live in my hometown of San Francisco with my husband and rescue pooch, Rigby.
